4.17.12 - UPDATE: Thank you to those that responded with financial and time commitments to help with this project. We are still working out the details and finalizing whether we can take on this project or not. We still need roofing contractors who are willing to give us estimates who are also willing to work with volunteers on the project. If you know of them, please forward them to us for more details.

Would you join me in prayer for the woman who lives in this home? She’s got several medical issues including a collapsed spinal cord injury. She also has faith that God will provide for her if she continues to trust Him.

She needs a new roof on her house and I have a volunteer Coach that is trying to make that happen.

Pray for these Things:

Funding: It’s going to cost approximately $2500+ just in materials and debris removal. NeighborLink can help with a good portion but we’re going to need additional financial partners.

Volunteers: This roof is on the edge of being too steep for projects we like to have volunteers involved in. We need volunteers who are comfortable working in challenging environments. We’ll also need folks to help with the tear off and cleanup.

Roofing Professional: We’re looking for a roofing company or contractor with roofing experience who is willing to work with a group of volunteers on this project. We are partnering with the City of FW on this project who will be covering the cost of the labor of a contractor. Pray for a company who would be willing to work with volunteers as a way to give back.

Thank you for partnering with me on this project. It does take a community of people to make a difference.
