Still Something to Celebrate

We may not have won a Toyota truck this past Saturday, but we still have some things to celebrate. 

Most of all, we’re celebrating YOU. 

Saturday was an all out effort to raise awareness for NeighborLink and letting everyone know that they could vote for us in Toyota’s 100 Cars for Good program. There were so many of you that chose to spend a moment of your day not only voting for us, but telling all your friends on our behalf. For that, I’m grateful.

I was overwhelmed by your support, encouragement, and your shared belief in our ability to actually pull this contest off and win that Toyota. Your efforts on our behalf truly raised the awareness of NeighborLink in the local community, which is a vital necessity to our organization. The more people that know about us, the more likely they’ll take a look at our project list and consider how they can love their neighbor through service. 

We celebrate that God is still good and He still provides for us. Would a truck increase our capacity to do even more for our local community? Sure. Will we still push forward with the resources we have and still accomplish great things for our community? Absolutely!!

God has always provided for NeighborLink and we have no reason to doubt that He won’t into the future. We’ll remain obedient to the call to love our neighbors as ourselves and He’ll continue sharing His resources as He sees fit. 

Plus, we still won $1,000 from Toyota. Each organization that didn’t win a new car still receives a $1,000 grant from Toyota. We probably won’t spend it on buying a new vehicle, but you can rest assured that we’ll make the most of this grant by getting projects done. 

Thank you for putting up with the constant tweets, Facebook messages, and emails. They were intended to be reminders and encouragements for you to support us in this simple way.
